Vector consults a cost database and an estimate to add covers for six inspection chambers. The process shows how it resolves an unsuitable match, narrows down the references and prepares changes for the user to review before applying them.

The task in this example

Find suitable items in a cost database and add them to the estimate with the required dimensions, class and quantities.

The process, step by step

  1. Open the CIEC cost database and the estimate’s BC3 file, then ask the agent to find an inspection chamber cover item.
  2. Review the matching items in detail and refine the proposal: two square covers and four rectangular covers, class B-125 in this example.
  3. Check the two supply items, their quantities and amounts, then accept the changes to add them to the estimate.
